Stages and marks: how to mark an item as done and change the route
To mark work, open the “Stages” tab, choose a stage and tap the circle to the left of an item. A mark by the owner or the designer counts as done right away. A mark by a contractor or foreman gets the “Awaiting review” status and doesn't count towards progress until the designer or the owner accepts it.
How the route works
The route is a sequence of stages, and each stage has items (in the app they're called “Substages”). What's included depends on your survey answers: extra stages leave the route when the owner or the designer confirms it. Inside a stage you'll see tips: “Review this stage” and “Master Kistya advises”. The overall order of stages is described in the article Apartment renovation stages in order.
How to mark an item
- Open the “Stages” tab and tap the stage you need.
- Tap the circle to the left of the item.
- You can attach a photo to the item right away in the “Photo records” block: here's how.
What the statuses mean
- Marked right away. This is how marks by the owner and the designer look, and also a contractor's mark on a property where there's nobody to review it (no owner and no designer).
- “Awaiting review”. A mark by a contractor or foreman that hasn't been accepted yet. It doesn't count as done and doesn't go towards progress.
- “Accepted”. The work has been accepted: the mark can no longer be removed and the item's photos can't be deleted; they stay in the property's history.
The acceptance item at the end of a stage (“Accept the stage”) checks itself off when the stage is accepted or approved.
How a contractor sends work for review and how it gets accepted is covered in the article Reviewing and accepting work.
How to change the route
The owner and the designer change the route.
- The “Stages” tab → next to the “Route” heading, tap “Edit”.
- Press and hold a stage and drag it to a new place.
- The ✎ sign renames a stage, the ✕ sign removes it, and “+ Add stage” creates your own stage.
- Items inside a stage are edited the same way: open the stage → next to “Substages”, tap “Edit”; to add your own item, tap “+ Add substage”.
What you remove by hand comes back in the same place, in the “Removed” block, with the “Restore” button. Stages removed by a confirmed survey are listed there too, marked “Removed by the survey” with a date, but they don't come back. The “Rebuild route” button in the same mode builds the route again from all survey answers; the work in stages is kept. All members of the property see route changes.
How to leave a comment on an item
Open the stage and tap “Comment” on the item (if there are comments already, “Comments”). Property members will see your comment. You need to be logged in, and comments on items are available when one of the property members has the “Team” or “Team PRO” plan. By pressing and holding someone else's comment, you can report it or block its author.
What to do if
- A stage disappeared from the list. Open “Stages” → “Edit” → “Removed”. A stage removed by hand comes back with “Restore”. A stage marked “Removed by the survey” left the route because of a confirmed survey answer and doesn't come back. The marks and photos of a removed stage are kept.
- A finished stage shows a “New item”, or a stage is marked “Review”. The renovation route has been updated: some work moved to its proper place in the sequence, and new stages appeared. Your marks, photos and approvals stay with their items. A “New item” doesn't count towards progress, and a “Review” stage now comes before the current one: check on site and mark what's already done.
- An item has no circle, or the mark won't stick. Check that the property isn't in the archive (in the archive it's view only) and that the renovation hasn't been moved to lived in: after that, the stages become history and can't be marked or changed.
- You can't remove a mark. Accepted work can't be unmarked: it stays in the property's history together with the photos. A mark that's awaiting review can be sent back to work by the reviewer.
- You want to change the route, but there's no “Edit” button. The owner and the designer change the route.
