Doma web version: how to run your renovation on a computer
Yes, you can run your renovation from a laptop or a desktop computer. Open app.digitaldoma.ru in your browser and log in with email - the same address you use in the phone app. The same property loads: stages, budget, documents and tasks. Whatever you change on the computer shows up on your phone, and the other way round. The web version doesn't open without logging in: the property is stored in your account on the server, not in the browser.
How the web version differs from the app
It's the same app, just in a browser. The screens and buttons are the same, and the data is shared. The difference is how convenient it is to work:
- on a wide window, a menu on the left replaces the bottom tabs;
- you can drag files from your desktop with the mouse;
- budget and document tables fit on a big screen in full;
- choosing and paying for a plan is only available here: the phone app has no prices or payment.
The login screen says so itself: “the same property as on your phone - with a big screen for the budget, documents and stages”. Data is stored on servers in Russia.
How to log in
- Open app.digitaldoma.ru.
- Enter your email address. From Russia, an address at a Russian email service works: Yandex, Mail.ru, Rambler.
- Tick the consent to the processing of personal data.
- Click “Get code”.
- Enter the 6-digit code from the “Login code” email and click “Log in”.
Logging in with a phone number temporarily doesn't work - log in with email. No email? Check the “Spam” folder. If you're currently outside Russia, any email works: tick this in the “Are you outside Russia?” question. Details are in How to log in to the Doma app with email.
If you're logging in for the first time and have no property yet, the web version offers to create one and fill in the survey - just like the app.
How the screen is laid out
On a wide window, the screen has three parts.
- The property column - a narrow strip on the left. It holds the icons of your properties: a click opens a property, and hovering shows its name. The “+” button creates a new property, and the circle at the bottom opens “Profile”.
- The property menu. The property's name and area, then the sections: “Home”, “Stages”, “Budget”, “Documents”. Below them: “Inspiration”, “Master Kistya”, “Contractors”, “Archive”, “Property members”. Under these is the “Task calendar”, and at the very end - “To website” and “Log out”.
- The work area on the right - the open section.
The “Budget” section is visible to the owner and the designer. Contractors and foremen don't have it, either on the phone or in the browser. If the browser window is narrow, the menu hides and tabs appear at the bottom, as in the app.
What's handier on a computer
- Budget. The “Excel” and “Add expense” buttons sit in the page header, and expenses are shown as a table. The Excel file holds the budget, the amount spent, the categories and expenses by month. How to keep track is in Budget, expenses and receipts.
- Documents. Drag files from your desktop onto the “Documents” screen - you'll see the hint “Drag files here to upload them”. The web version asks which folder to put the file in. One file can be up to 25 MB.
- Property passport. “Documents” → “Property passport export” → “Export to PDF” or “Export to Excel”. Export to PDF is always available in the browser.
- Route. The owner and the designer reorder stages with the mouse: “Drag a stage with the mouse - it will move to the new place”.
- Tasks. The “Task calendar” in the menu shows the days that have the property's tasks.
- Inspiration. Click an idea to open it, right-click for actions, and drag it with the mouse to move it into a folder.
- Invitations. If the browser can't share a link, you'll see “Copy invitation” instead of “Share code”: paste the text wherever you talk to that person.
Photos from a computer
You can add a photo to a stage item in the browser too: “From gallery” takes a file from your disk, and “Camera” on a computer opens the “Camera photo” window with your webcam. If the camera didn't open, allow the browser to use it: the icon left of the page address. In a phone's browser, the phone's own camera takes the photo.
Hidden work - pipes, cables, waterproofing - is easier to photograph with your phone right at the property, with a tape measure in the shot. What exactly to photograph is in Photos of hidden work.
Plan and payment
You can choose and pay for a plan only in the web version. Open “Profile” - there's a “Plans” block: your plan, what each one gives you and a “Pay” button. You pay by card or SBP on the YooKassa page; we never see your card number. The plan turns on right after payment, and the receipt arrives by email. Everyone has “Free” - “No expiry, no card needed”.
What each plan includes is in Plans and their limits. What happens when the paid period ends is in My plan has ended.
How to log out
At the bottom of the menu is “Log out”. The web version asks again: “The property data stays on the server, and the browser will forget it”. After logging out, the website opens. If you worked on someone else's or a shared computer, always log out.
“To website” simply opens digitaldoma.ru, and you stay logged in.
What to do if
- The web version keeps opening the login screen. Without logging in, only login itself, invitation links and the service documents are open. Log in with email.
- I can't see my property. Check that you logged in with the same email as on your phone. If you kept the property on your phone without logging in, first log in in the phone app - the property becomes linked to your account.
- “No connection”. The web version takes the property from the server, so without the internet it can't open a property that isn't in the browser yet.
- There's no “Budget” section. Only the owner and the designer see it - check your role in “Property members”.
- The camera doesn't open. Allow camera access in the browser's site settings and click “Camera” again.
Checklist before working on a computer
- Logged in with the same email as on your phone.
- The right property is selected in the left column.
- Files go into the “Documents” folders instead of staying on the desktop.
- Hidden work has been photographed with a phone at the property.
- On someone else's computer, “Log out” has been clicked after work.
